This blog showcases maps I have created using Arc GIS, Adobe Suite, and Natural Scene Designer. I am a graduate of University of Wisconsin-River Falls, with a bachelor of science in conservation and a minor in GIS. My interest in cartography grew out of ArcMap's expansion of the manual mapping techniques I learned in soil and hydrology classes.

The great professors at UWRF had me looking forward to learning new tools that provided solutions to natural resource issues. I would spend time outside of the scheduled GIS classes perfecting my skills in spatial analyst, model builder, and 3D mapping software. Beyond my ESRI skills, I learned how to use Photoshop to refine my maps, and Illustrator to convert them into a publishable state.

My work experience includes working as a wildlife management intern at Crex Meadows with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. I used GIS to record GPS data on plant and animal surveys and invasive species control sites. Prior to attending River Falls, I worked as a field service technician in the nuclear industry servicing, installing, and upgrading fuel handling equipment in the United States and Taiwan. This experience taught me how to collaborate with others in a highly regulated industry, troubleshoot machine errors, and repair equipment.

Outside of my studies, I spend my free time exploring and camping outdoors. I have advised and built PCs for professionals and computer enthusiastsIf you have any questions about me or GIS feel free to send me an email (see resume page).
